Tim Mason
Company Secretary

Tim started his career in 1976 with H P Bulmer Holdings PLC, and held various posts reaching the position of assistant group secretary.  In 1983 he joined AMEC Plc, before moving to Compass Group in 1986. 

He was appointed company secretary of all the group’s UK subsidiaries in 1987, and was involved with the group’s MBO and flotation in the late 1980s.  He took up the position of company secretary of the UK’s holding company in 1994, and in 2002 was named director and company secretary, Compass Group UK & Ireland.

During his time with Compass, Tim has helped gain many significant contracts and had integral involvement in key acquisitions undertaken within the UK. He was a member of the team that merged and subsequently demerged from Granada, and at the time of the merger was appointed company secretary of the new UK and Ireland division.

Tim is also a director of the group’s insurance captive in the Isle of Man and the medical benefits company as well as holding directorships of many of the UK and Ireland subsidiaries.

Tim is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds an MA in professional administration.
