Charlie joined the Compass family in 2007 as Operations Director in our Defence and Offshore sector, having been with Whitbread for over 10 years, taking on a variety of positions there. Charlie has now moved into the role of MD for Chartwells, our education business, having previously held the role of Transformation Director, successfully delivering a number of significant projects. Charlie has held senior operational roles across a number of Compass sectors including Chartwells and was Managing Director for its Government Services and 14Forty businesses.

He is passionate about working in the service industry and loves helping to make people’s day better by providing our great food and services. He also enjoys the variety of his job and says that no two days are ever the same.
Charlie now lives with his partner and two children in Buckinghamshire.
Despite being given the same name as the very famous cartoon character from Peanuts, Charlie Brown’s parents claim they were blissfully unaware and only realised as Charlie became much older!
