24, the innovative self-service micro-market, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is celebrating after winning a prestigious accolade at the IGD Awards 2016 on Tuesday, October 18.
The IGD Awards, organised by the research and training charity, celebrates the commitment and innovation of businesses in the food and grocery industry and the market leading 24/7 foodservice solution scooped the “Innovative Store of the Year” award, sponsored by McCurrah UK Ltd, following the exceptional growth it has experienced since launching to the UK market in 2014.
24 provides an interactive shopping experience, combining the latest cashless and card payment technology, with safety monitoring options and a backup system to ensure the facility is always available to customers. Offering access to over 300 product lines, it includes cold and heat-to-eat meals to meet the changing needs of workplace catering.
The unmanned food-to-go solution was the first micro-market to be introduced to the UK and has now launched 44 micro-markets in business and industry, government services and hospital client sites across the country.
