14forty and National Grid Partnership Highlights ‘Hidden Heroes’ Who Keep the Country Up and Running
At 14forty we pride ourselves on providing pioneering, integrated facilities management and now more than ever our clients are looking to us to support them in their vital work, which helps to keep the country running.
The current landscape is ever-changing and has pushed us all to face new challenges head-on. The 14forty team has done just that, with an agile response and an outstanding level of passion and dedication, our teams have continued to work to deliver for our clients.
Our team worked with National Grid and CBRE (hard FM services) to build and set up over 65 accommodation pods. These were to house the hardworking, essential group of control room engineers who, to keep the lights on and the gas flowing across the UK, moved out of their homes to protect their families and loved ones. Our support continued with our people providing full hotel services, 24/7 security and catering, fire marshalling, and even setting up cinema nights in the converted business lounges for the teams onsite.
Our plans have ensured that comfort, resilience and safety have been at the core, with the entire facilities management team operating on a new shift pattern to adapt to the services now needed. We have also set up a further 12 pods across key locations and have delivered over 100 appropriate PPE and sanitiser parcels to various sites, ensuring our support and expertise can be utilised wherever needed.
14forty has worked tirelessly to deliver a myriad of services to our clients to ensure they can continue to operate safely. These include the installation of Perspex screen at receptions and in restaurants, thermal imaging cameras at receptions and sanitising “fogging” techniques to ensure drivers cabs and buildings are sanitised and safe to access.
It’s been such a privilege to work side by side with our clients on these projects, supporting them to keep the country running during these challenging times and I’m really proud of everything our teams have achieved.
