Donna Catley joined Compass Group UK & Ireland earlier this month as our new HR Director.

Having been in the job for just ten days, it was a real privilege to attend and host our annual ‘Be A Star’ Awards last Thursday.

The perfect welcome to Compass - it was a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the amazing people that make our business what it is and present them with awards to celebrate their dedication and achievements.

Throughout the year we nominate teams and individuals who have truly gone above and beyond. These Be A Star Awards are our way of the thanking and rewarding these people.

Shortlisted nominees were invited to the stunning V&A museum, where we were served a delicious three course meal by our fantastic Payne & Gunter team. We then announced our winners across seven categories, which reflect the key values of the business. They were:

Passion - Jenni-Emily Smith, Central Functions
Can-do - Enselhm Mbala & Phillip Cooke, Restaurant Associates
Integrity - Monika Korpacz, Compass Ireland
Health and Safety - Ruth Roberts, 14Forty
ROAR (our framework to deliver operational excellence) - Martin Rafferty & Wayne Bramwell, 14Forty

These winners are truly inspirational and our Be A Star ceremony is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our people and thank them for all that they do. Congratulations to all those involved.
