‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going’ is a phrase which springs to mind when I look at what our remarkable Rapport team has achieved this year. Every member of the team has made a considerable contribution to ensure that employee engagement has stayed top-of-mind since the pandemic began.

Employee engagement key since the beginning

When we launched Rapport Guest Services back in 2012, we wanted it to be a business that our employees loved being part of.  I am delighted that the hard work has paid off and in receiving the Best Companies exceptional 3-star status we have reached a pinnacle which defines what we are all about.

Best Companies is considered the most prestigious Employee Engagement Award in the UK and after being featured in their annual list since 2014, obtaining three stars, their ultimate accreditation, is a tribute to everyone in the business. We achieved this accolade after a comprehensive survey which looks at satisfaction and engagement including factors such as personal growth, management, opportunities, and wellbeing. This means we are one of a small number of organisations across the country with extraordinary levels of workplace engagement and we could not be prouder.

Employee engagement is one of our top priorities. We develop and reward our employees through a broad range of initiatives from recognition and awards schemes, an extensive range of training courses, to a robust diversity and inclusion programme. Our brand ethos is based on creating rapport with clients, their employees, and guests from the outset, leaving them with the perfect impression every time. The priority we place on employee engagement has enabled us to create a very special culture at Rapport.

2020 has presented challenges like never before, and we have, and are still working incredibly hard to ensure all of our Rapport Guest Services family feel supported, connected and remain positive about the future, whilst at the same time supporting our clients in new and innovative ways to deliver the same high standards safely. We have maintained and improved our culture throughout the last 12 months, which started with Rapport earning a well-deserved place on the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list, and it seems extremely fitting for it to end the year with this recognition from Best Companies.

I would like to thank everyone at Rapport for all the amazing things that they do every day to create a unique culture, and for their ongoing support.
