We’re extremely proud of our 2016 intake of graduates who have undertaken some grueling challenges to raise more than £65,000 for charity!

At Compass Group UK & Ireland, we’re always keen to provide our people with the right development opportunities and our graduate scheme is all about investing in our talent, to help them build their careers.

As part of the programme, we set our graduates a challenge every year to raise money for charity giving them an opportunity to work as a team and to think creatively about how they can raise funds for a project they’re passionate about.

The 2016 intake of graduates were separated into seven groups for the £400 to £4k challenge, they were set the task of making £4,000 for their charity through planning, organising and executing their own projects within a year. Altogether, the 32 graduates managed to raise an impressive £67,575 - the highest amount raised since the start of the project in 2013.

Some of the exciting challenges that the graduates took part in include organising charity dinners, running a marathon and taking on a mud run. Various charities benefitted from the project including 2nd Chance UK, Duchenne UK, Brain Tumour Research Charity, Cancer Research UK, Rose Blossom Trust and Hospitality Action.

This is a great achievement for our graduates, and we look forward to our new intake of 2017 graduates completing this Charity Challenge Project.
