14forty celebrates double win at PFM Awards

Leading facilities management provider 14forty is celebrating a double win at the coveted Premises & Facilities Management Awards 2023, after two of its dedicated team members impressed judges to take home the trophies.

Ian Hillard, Transition Director for 14forty at the Essar Oil refinery in Stanlow, Cheshire, scooped Account Director of the Year, whilst one of the company’s cleaning operatives, Jackie Kennedy, won the Special Recognition Award.

Ian led a successful catering and industrial cleaning programme at the refinery during a statutory safety shutdown. His innovative approach included a ‘Super Village’ to serve nutritious dishes in 60 seconds or less, helping teams to carry out inspections, overhaul equipment, install new components and ensure optimal safety.

Special Recognition Award winner Jackie Kennedy, who also works at the Essar refinery, raised £200 for Ukrainian refugees by collecting loose change from the floor while cleaning. One of Essar’s subcontractors expanded this initiative across its European sites, raising £110,000 for the German Red Cross, a society that helps people in need.

Outside of work, Jackie supports young people dealing with homelessness or substance-abuse problems, offering emergency accommodation and a listening ear.  

Ian and Jackie were presented with their PFM awards at a ceremony at the Brewery, on Chiswell Street in London on 01 November 2023.
