We’re incredibly proud to win this award, which reflects our values and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference at the University of Sussex. Together, we’re continually striving to reduce waste and carbon, with initiatives including championing local suppliers, waste separation bins, and developing recipes that reuse commonly discarded ingredients. This achievement is testament to the collective dedication of both organisations towards sustainable practices.”

Harinder Singh, Head of Sustainability, at Foodbuy Group, said:

“At Foodbuy, we’re committed to creating social value for the benefit of our business, our clients’ businesses and society. Not only because we think it’s the right thing to do, but because we want to lead the way on social procurement. We’re thrilled to have won this award, which recognises our hard work and commitment to source more sustainably and socially. Social enterprises have an important role to play in supply chains. We're incredibly proud to be using our spend and influence to deliver a real tangible impact for communities, people and the planet.”
