INvolve name two Compass colleagues as role models for supporting the LGBT+ community

INvolve – The Inclusion People, has released its OUTstanding LGBT+ & Allies Role Models Lists with Compass Group UK & Ireland’s Jonathan Foot and Robin Mills named on them.

The lists celebrate individuals across the globe who are driving change for inclusion in the workplace and beyond. It includes business leaders and allies who are breaking down barriers and creating more inclusive workplaces.

Jonathan, Compass’ Head of Apprenticeships & Early Careers, is named on the Future Leaders LGBT+ list. He is Co-Chair for Compass’ Pride in Food network (LGBT+) and also sits on the Women In Food network. Having worked at Compass for over three years, Jonathan has been recognised for spearheading D&I within the business. He supports the LGBT+ agenda by organising campaigns, initiatives, seminars and events to communicate and engage with Compass’ people, supply chains, partners and customers - sharing best practice and celebrating LGBT+ communities.

Robin Mills, Compass Group UK & Ireland’s Managing Director, has been named as a Top 50 Ally on the Executive list. He features for demonstrating a true commitment to further ingraining equality within the company’s culture. This work has included the relaunch of initiatives such as the LGBT+ Pride in Food network and developing internal training for employees to enhance diversity and opportunities for all.

The INvolve list states; “D&I is a priority for Robin and he empowers his team members - to create meaningful, long-term change.”

2020 saw the relaunch of Compass’ Pride in Food Network, with a renewed focus on supporting and celebrating its LGBT+ community, linking to Compass’ Dignity at Work programme, which enables and supports colleagues to be themselves at work. In 2020, the network also supported Pride Month with a powerful and successful campaign focussed on ‘What does Pride mean to you?’.
