Jockey Club Catering completes clean drinking water project in Uganda

News

On behalf of Jockey Club Catering, a joint venture between The Jockey Club and Compass Group UK & Ireland, Life Water and charity, drop4drop, has completed its first clean drinking water project in the Magungu 3 community of Uganda.

By supplying Life Water at its events, Jockey Club Catering is helping to fund clean drinking water projects throughout the year. Completing the bore-well, the Magungu 3 community of 340 people will now have immediate access to safe, clean drinking water improving their prospects of a brighter future.

Life Water provides consumers with branded, bottled water that funds the creation of clean drinking water projects in developing countries. Every bottle of Life Water sold funds the delivery of at least 1,000 litres of clean drinking water to a community in need.

Nick Campbell, Chief Operations Officer at Jockey Club Catering said: “We are delighted to be involved with Life Water. By supplying Life Water to our customers, we are able to significantly contribute to those across the world in need of clean drinking water. We look forward to undergoing our next project.”

Jockey Club Catering is a joint venture between The Jockey Club, the largest commercial group in British racing, and Compass Group UK & Ireland. The partnership was launched in 2009 with the aim of providing premium quality catering at all 15 of The Jockey Club racecourses. In 2013, the exclusive business relationship was extended until 2025.
