Levy UK caters for 6 Nations return to Twickenham Stadium

News

As Levy UK and Twickenham Stadium prepare to welcome the final NatWest 6 Nations match this weekend, England face Ireland at the home of England Rugby, where more than 80,000 fans will be catered for in one of the country’s biggest catering operations in UK sport.

Over the course of two NatWest 6 Nations matches at Twickenham, Levy UK has developed a wider culinary offering and introduced new retail catering concepts to bring a taste of ‘home’ for the 160,000 plus supporters enjoying the games in London during the Championship.

As well as hearty favourites including grilled buffalo burgers, two limited edition 6 Nations pasties have been created by West Cornwall Pasty Co, featuring ‘The Welsh’ and ‘The Irish’, to commemorate England’s two competitive home matches this year. Just as well, because more than 5,500 pasties are estimated to be sold across the two games.

Retail concessions include The Rickshaw Club, serving traditional Indian street food with a twist; Fuorvito Pizza, handmade and cooked in a wood-fired pizza oven; Meat the chef, succulent buttermilk fried chicken burgers; and Raclette Melt, the place to be for cheese lovers looking for the best melted cheese dishes.

A large team of Levy UK colleagues will deliver catering for the events, while innovations such as Click and Collect are available for guests to beat the queues. The app is available from Apple and Android providers, and allows visitors to the stadium to pre-order drinks for collection and pick up at a designated bar.

Nils Braude, Twickenham’s Catering and C&E Director said: “Over the years Twickenham has been able to adapt and improve the food offer in the stadium, to ensure that not only all of our fans are catered for but that we are delivering an innovative and exciting offer each and every match. Over the NatWest 6 Nations series this approach has proven to deliver great quality for our customers.”
