Payne & Gunter launch menu collection in partnership with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage

News

Payne & Gunter, one of London’s leading event caterers, is launching an exciting collaboration with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s acclaimed River Cottage: Payne & Gunter x River Cottage.

The renowned brands have joined forces to develop new menus for future events focusing on the River Cottage ethos of sustainable, organic, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The partnership was launched at an exclusive event at the National History Gallery last month.

River Cottage is globally recognised for their uncompromising commitment to seasonal, ethically produced food. They share this message at their cookery school and restaurant HQ on the Dorset/Devon borders as well as their four Canteens in the South West.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall says: “I am really enjoying the collaboration between our own River Cottage chefs and the talented Payne & Gunter team to bring delicious River Cottage food to all manner of events – starting with a classic River Cottage wood-fired feast at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Among other delights we knocked out hot mackerel baps, grilled asparagus and organic haloumi flatbreads and our famous spicy lamb burgers, with loads of seasonal salads and salsas. As always with River Cottage, it’s all made with impeccably sourced seasonal, sustainable ingredients. In the long term we are looking forward to working closely with Payne & Gunter to further enhance their provenance and sustainability.”

Payne & Gunter has been a maker of English hospitality in all its quirky glory since 1786, known for fine venues, characterful dining and impeccable delivery. The caterer is recognised for delivering memorable, classic British dishes with a twist at events ranging from the BRIT Awards at London’s The O2, to entertaining guests in The Members Restaurant & Deli at Royal Windsor Horse Show – and the River Cottage menus compliment this offering perfectly.

Payne & Gunter is a recommended caterer at iconic venues in London and beyond, from the Natural History Museum to the V&A; stunning wedding venues from Hedsor House to Eltham Palace as well as the modern icons, including the Troxy or The O2.

Payne & Gunter events involve exceptional dishes and characterful flourishes, every detail thoroughly thought through and delivered impeccably. As it has been since the company started in Mayfair in 1786. As it should be from the true originals of English hospitality.
