Kevin Watson, Sustainability Director, Levy said: "We’re delighted to be recognised at this year’s Footprint Awards, with wins that highlight both our sustainability strategy and our work championing lower-impact, high-welfare ingredients.
Partnering with Foodsteps has enabled us to better understand and act on our carbon footprint, while initiatives like Wild About Venison show how we can drive positive change through our menus at scale, educating our teams and guests as we do so. This is a real team effort across Levy and our partners and I am hugely proud to lead such a fantastic group of people who are dedicated to doing the best for people and planet."
Amy Armstrong (MSc, PISEP, REnvP), Climate and Environment Manager for Chartwells Education: "We're over the moon that our menu has been recognised by Footprint - including beans and pulses in our recipes is a win-win for both nutrition and climate. Our education programme supports young people in making sustainable food choices, shaping healthy lifelong eating habits that don't have a negative impact on our planet."
