Best Educational Programme 2026 – Sponsored by HIT Training
This award recognises large employers worldwide that demonstrate excellence in graduate programmes, apprenticeship schemes and student placements across hospitality, leisure and tourism.
Forward with Marcus Wareing, has seen over 85 senior chefs graduate since its launch in 2021 and is now on its sixth cohort of participants. Guided by Marcus Wareing, the programme was designed and launched to support senior culinary talent. The best-in-class apprenticeship equips chefs with exceptional culinary skills with a focus on subjects including sustainability, commerciality, and people.
It is brought to life through added value enrichment activities, delivering practical experiences to the group. Last year it evolved further, with the introduction of ‘Forward Service’, for Compass colleagues in senior front of house roles.
2026 is the third consecutive year of success at the IOH Awards for Compass, following previous recognition in 2024 for Forward with Marcus Wareing and in 2025 for Xcelerate with Edgbaston.
