Nutrition and Allergen Management Services

Practical. Expert led. Free where it matters most.

Children’s food safety, nutrition and wellbeing have never mattered more. With allergy prevalence rising, new statutory expectations coming into force, and an increased focus on healthy lifestyles and personal development within the Common Inspection Framework, schools need clear, practical support – not policies that sit on a shelf.

Compass Group UK & Ireland offers free allergen support to state schools, delivered by Registered Nutritionists, removing cost as a barrier to pupil safety.

What’s included – free of charge

Allergen management guidance for schools
Virtual briefings for teaching staff and catering teams, covering:

  • Current and emerging allergen legislation
  • Readiness for Benedict’s Law (Sept 2026)
  • Practical, school-ready procedures that work day-to-day

Allergy & anaphylaxis awareness training
Delivered virtually or in person, aligned to statutory guidance.

Pupil allergen awareness workshops & assemblies
Age-appropriate, engaging sessions for pupils aged 4–18, delivered in school by a Registered Nutritionist.

Additional support (chargeable)

Schools can also access nutrition and sustainability services that support wider school priorities, including personal development, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles as considered within the Common Inspection Framework:

  • Nutrition training for school staff and in-house catering teams
  • Classroom workshops for pupils (4–18 years) on healthy eating, energy, gut health and food waste
  • Sustainability and climate action plan support for school leadership

These services help schools evidence a whole school approach to health, wellbeing and food education, complementing safeguarding and curriculum activity.

(All services delivered virtually or face-to-face.)
