Chelsea FC Previews Refurbished West Stand at Exclusive Experiential Event
Chelsea Football Club last night (14 Sept) hosted an exclusive experiential event, ‘Extra Time’, to showcase its world-class facilities, including its Meetings & Events and Hospitality offerings, and a sneak preview of the substantial refurbishment of its iconic West Stand.
Over 600 guests attended the ’Extra Time’ event, at which each of the stadium’s different business areas hosted interactive experience stations for guests to immerse themselves in, alongside a live set from world famous DJ Trevor Nelson.
The Meetings & Events team displayed their creativity with a fun Alice In Wonderland-themed tea party, highlighting the expertise of the club’s catering partners, Levy Restaurants UK, who provided innovative culinary delights to complement the theme. Levy Restaurants UK also served American, Asian and Mexican-themed dishes at a number of street food stations throughout the Great Hall at Stamford Bridge, in which the event was held.
Chelsea legend and club ambassador Tore Andre Flo was on hand to coach guests taking part in a penalty shootout competition at the Hospitality stand, with the winner receiving a world-class matchday experience at a game this season.
Guests could also let their hair down at a silent disco hosted by Chelsea’s very own on-site music venue, Under The Bridge, experience an interactive look around the hotel meeting facilities via virtual reality headsets, enjoy complimentary treatments from the Chelsea Health Club and Spa and have a photo with the Premier League trophy at the Stadium Tours & Museum stand.
Simon Hunter, Head of Venue and Development, commented: “The event was a fantastic opportunity for us as a venue to showcase our diverse offering to both our B2B and B2C clientele, as well as give our guests the chance to get a first look at the newly refurbished West Stand. It was great to hear such positive feedback from our guests ahead of its launch in October.”
As one of the most comprehensive sporting venues in London, each business area took part in the event, collectively showcasing its versatile offering, all within the 11-acre site which is just two minutes’ walk from Fulham Broadway underground station
