Compass launches first “Caffé Dallucci” at client site

News

Compass Group UK & Ireland’s café / deli Caffé Dallucci, has reached new heights with its first site opening in London.

The brand, which prides itself on “Fresh Food, Great Coffee and Good Company” was launched at Griffin House Hammersmith, for Liberty Global and Virgin Media following a competitive tender process.

The “high-street” style cafe will provide customers with hot and cold hand crafted beverages, a variety of food from sushi, a choice of salads and freshly-prepared sandwiches, with access to a large seating area for 49 people.

Customers will also be able to enjoy cold press coffee, brewed daily on site for 12 hours in addition to a range of whole leaf teas, infusions and guest coffees.

As part of the new deal, Caffé Dallucci has been developed to meet the needs of our client and consumers on site. To highlight some of the great products on offer, we have partnered with our suppliers who will be showcasing different products every day for the first two weeks, giving our consumers an opportunity to try some of the great food and beverages available.

Altogether, five new employees have been taken on and they have undergone extensive training prior to the launch.

Louise Pilkington, Marketing Director for Compass Group UK & Ireland, said: “We are very excited about the launch of the first Caffé Dallucci site outside of the Compass Group UK & Ireland business.

“We created the original concept to respond to customer demand for great coffee, delicious food and a welcoming place to take a break or work, throughout the day. The offer has been built on three pillars: provenance, seasonality and nutrition. The focus of the brand is “freshly prepared and locally sourced” and the new site includes a display which conveys to the client and customers where the products have come from.

“Every detail of Caffé Dallucci has been thought through from the perspective of the customer, from the look and feel, design of the food display, the menu options and the quick and easy pay system, ensuring staff on site are able to access high quality food options in a great environment.”

Louise Roche, Head of Property and Facilities at Virgin Media, said: “We chose Caffé Dallucci for our staff as we were impressed by the quality of coffee and flexibility within the footprint. We recognise that by providing a great place for staff to eat and socialise, it helps to create a more positive work environment.”

Compass first launched the “Caffé Dallucci” brand at its Chertsey headquarter site last year after being brought over from the Germany business where it has had huge success.

The concept was developed by the marketing team, enabling Compass to showcase how it can transform the “in-house” catering eating experience.
