Compass’ Northern Ireland Assembly Team celebrate prestigious National Q Mark Award win
The Northern Ireland Assembly food services team, based in Belfast, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is celebrating after winning the Best Food Services team in Northern Ireland for Hygiene and Food Safety at this year’s National Q Mark Awards.
Hailed as “The Champions of Business Excellence”, the team were beaming with pride as they were called to the stage to receive the winner’s medal during the awards ceremony held in the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Dublin.
The Q Mark Awards are forever associated with Quality and Excellence in the minds of Irish consumers and it is the only system which allows businesses to monitor 100% of their processes and procedures 100% of the time. Winning this award has shown that Compass at Northern Ireland Assembly truly cares about their customers and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that it achieves the highest possible standards.
Compass has been providing support services since March 2007 to The Northern Ireland Assembly in the iconic listed building on the Stormont estate.
The Minister for Social Protection, Leo Varadkar TD, who attended this year’s National Q Mark Awards, said: “At the heart of the Government’s strategy is supporting Irish businesses through policies to create the environment for a strong economic recovery by promoting competitiveness and productivity. Speaking on behalf of the catering services team, Richard Murphy, Head Chef at the Northern Ireland Assembly, said: “We are delighted to win this award. It is great to get recognition for the incredible amount of hard work we put in around hygiene and food standards. We are so proud of the work we do at the Northern Ireland Assembly."
