Payne and Gunter helped to deliver the hottest dinner in town on Thursday 21st April to raise funds for international development charity Farm Africa. Guests enjoyed a special menu designed in conjunction with Michelin-starred chefs Ashley Palmer-Watts, Tom Kerridge and John Freeman at the V&A Museum in London.

Farm Africa reduces poverty by supporting farmers across eastern Africa to grow their incomes in an environmentally sustainable way. The Gala dinner included an intimate drinks reception where guests sipped on Champagne and organic lemonade before being welcomed to sit for an exclusive three course dinner where all of the chefs introduced the menu and welcomed 210 guests.

The first course served by Ashley Palmer-Watts, Executive Chef at two Michelin-starred Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Executive Head Chef of the Fat Duck Group, set the tone. An inspired main course followed from Tom Kerridge and Chris Mackett of The Hand and Flowers - the first ever pub to be awarded two Michelin stars. Dessert was by John Freeman, Head Chef at Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham, which has also been awarded two Michelin stars.

Farm Africa event organisers and the chefs were supported by Payne and Gunter chefs and its operations team, who facilitated the bringing together of all the logistical elements to ensure a smooth and seamless event, with all of the teams working together within the venue.

The evening’s entertainment closed with a silent auction that included a selection of “money can’t buy” prizes and impressive experiences.
