Head Pastry Chef - Restaurant Associates

    I'm very proud to have reached the 10-year milestone at Compass, and during this time I've worked across numerous sites where I've always had amazing feedback from our clients. I've had some amazing mentors who've given me great support and have helped me develop my skills and career.

    I have been presented with several opportunities to showcase my skills publicly, most recently as a representative of Compass Group UK for the first time at the Culinary Olympics, which was incredible! I also previously took part in the professional baking competition Bake Off: Crème de la Crème, as part of the Restaurant Associates team.


    What was it about pastry that appealed to you?

    Initially, I wanted to try out different sections, but as I gained experience, I realised how different pastry chefs and hot kitchen chefs were. In pastry, precision, timing and planning are essential; individual services are underpinned with a lot of organisation. My college teachers did all tell me that “you are made for it”, and I guess they were right! 

  • What do you love most about your job?

    I love having the freedom to create my own recipes and dishes. I have lots of support from Compass for training & developing new skills that I can apply to my work.
